Abstract

¹ýÄ¡ÀÇÇÐÀû ¿¬·É °¨Á¤Àº °³ÀÎ ½Äº°¿¡ ÀÖ¾î Áß¿äÇÑ ¿ªÇÒÀ» ÇÑ´Ù. º» ¿¬±¸´Â Çѱ¹ ¿¬·É °¨Á¤ ´ë»óÀÚµéÀÇ »çȸÀû Ư¼ºÀ» ºÐ¼®ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ¸ñÀûÀ¸·Î ÇÑ´Ù. 2012³â 3¿ùºÎÅÍ 2013³â 3¿ù±îÁö °æºÏ´ëÇб³ Ä¡°úº´¿ø ±¸°­³»°ú¿¡ ¿¬·É °¨Á¤À» ÀÇ·ÚÇÑ ´ë»óÀڵ鿡°Ô ¼³¹®Á¶»ç¸¦ ½Ç½ÃÇÏ¿´´Ù.
°á°ú´Â ´ÙÀ½°ú °°´Ù:
1. ¼ºº° ºÐÆ÷¿¡¼­, ³²¼º(42.86%)º¸´Ù ¿©¼º(57.14%)ÀÌ ´õ ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. 50´ë¿Í 60´ë ÀÌ»óÀÇ °í·ÉÀÚ°¡ ´ë´Ù¼ö¿´À¸¸ç(89.28%), 40´ë ¾Æ·¡·Î´Â ÇÑ ¸íÀÇ ÀÇ·ÚÀεµ ¾ø¾ú´Ù. ÀÇ·ÚÀεéÀÇ ´ëºÎºÐÀÌ ÃʵîÇб³ Á¹¾÷ ÀÌÇÏÀÇ ÇзÂÀ» °¡Áö°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù(69.64%).
2. È£Àû »ó ¿¬·É°ú ÀÇ·ÚÀÎÀÌ ÁÖÀåÇÏ´Â ¿¬·É °£ÀÇ Â÷ÀÌ°¡ ³ª°Ô µÈ °¡Àå Å« ÀÌÀ¯·Î´Â °¡Á· ¹× ģôÀÇ ½Ç¼ö·Î ÀÎÇÑ °ÍÀÌ °¡Àå ¸¹¾Ò´Ù(80.36%). ¿¬·É °¨Á¤À» ÅëÇØ ¾ò°íÀÚ ÇÏ´Â ¸ñÀûÀº »çȸ º¹Áö ÇýÅÃ(62.50%), »çȸÀû Àΰü °ü°è ¹®Á¦(12.50%), ´ÜÁö ¹Ù¸¥ ³ªÀ̸¦ ã±â À§Çؼ­(10.71%), Á÷¾÷°ú °ü·ÃÇÑ ¹®Á¦(8.93%) ¼øÀ̾ú´Ù.
3. ¿¬·É °¨Á¤À» Çϱâ À§ÇØ Ä¡°ú(±¸°­³»°ú)¸¦ ã°Ô µÈ °æ·Î·Î´Â °ü°ø¼­ÀÇ ºñÁßÀÌ ³ô¾ÒÀ¸¸ç(48.21%), Ä£±¸³ª ÁöÀÎ(21.43%), ´ëÁ߸Åü(14.29%), º´ÀÇ¿ø(10.71%) µîÀ» ÅëÇÑ °æ·Î°¡ µÚ¸¦ À̾ú´Ù. ¹ýÄ¡ÀÇÇÐÀû ¿¬·É °¨Á¤¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ÀÇ·ÚÀεéÀÇ ÀÌÇصµ´Â 10Á¡ ¸¸Á¡¿¡ 7.03Á¡À¸·Î ³ôÀº ¼öÁØÀ̾ú´Ù. Àý¹Ý ÀÌ»óÀÇ ÀÇ·ÚÀε鿡°Ô¼­ ÇöÀçÀÇ ¿¬·É °¨Á¤ ºñ¿ë¿¡ ´ëÇØ ¸¸Á·ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù.
4. ¹ýÄ¡ÀÇÇÐÀû ¿¬·É °¨Á¤À» ÅëÇØ °¨Á¤µÈ ¿¬·É°ú ÀÇ·ÚÀεéÀÌ ÁÖÀåÇÏ´Â ¿¬·É °£¿¡´Â 57.14%ÀÇ ±ÙÁ¢µµ¸¦ º¸¿´´Ù. 1³â °£ Á¶»çÇÑ ¿¬·É °¨Á¤ ´ë»óÀÚµéÀÇ 23.53%°¡ ¹ýÀûÀ¸·Î ¿¬·É Á¤Á¤À» ÇÏ°Ô µÇ¾ú´Ù.

Age estimations by forensic odontology play a great role in personal identification. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of age estimation cases in Korea. Surveying clients who requested age estimation at the Department of Oral Medicine, Kyungpook National University Dental Hospital from March 2012 to March 2013.
The results were as follows:
1. On gender distribution, females(57.14%) were more than males(42.86%). The elderly with 50"s and over 60"s were majorities(89.28%) of clients, and no clients were below 40"s. Most of clients were equal to and lower than elementary school graduate(69.64%).
2. The most frequent reason for age discrepancy between registered age and alleged age was mistakes by family or relatives(80.36%). The purposes of age estimation were welfare(62.50%), social relationship problem(12.50%), to find right age(10.71%), and occupation(8.93%).
3. In order of route to visit at Department of Oral Medicine, they were via government office(48.21%), acquaintances(21.43%), mass media(14.29%), and clinic(10.71%). Clients had high degree of comprehension on age estimation with forensic odontology (scored 7.03 out of 10). The 2/3 of clients were satisfied with present fee for age estimation.
4. The percentage on the proximity of estimated age to alleged age was 69.81%. 4(11.43%) clients were approved on age correction by court.
